Going Home.

Saturday, July 4th

I am writing this on our flight from Washington DC to Portland, Oregon. Our little man is asleep on Daniel's lap in blissful slumber. He is so handsome as I look at his peaceful face I just cannot believe that he is really, truly with us and that we are on our way home!!! We had a lovely visit with my Aunt Kitti, Aunt Heidi & Grandma Kestner. My family loves Robie. He is a really good kid. He entertained us about as much as we entertained him. Cousin Karen came to visit and brought her mini-doxin and a mini doxin puppy. At first, Robel was afraid of the dogs but then he warmed up to them. In fact, it helped him overcome his sadness of really for the first time, being alone. Thanks Karen.

I am so excited to see our trio. I cannot wait to hug them and kiss them and hold them. I am so excited that Daniel has all next week off too...it will be so great to bond as a family. I am so grateful to God for prompting us to adopt from Ethiopia (thanks Kevin & Kelly). I am also so thankful that our perfect angel is on this plane with us heading to PDX. Yippee! A family of 6 at last.
