Daniel and I just got done visiting with Deonna's teacher, Mrs. Eterno. She is fabulous and had many good things to say about our sweet girl. First, she is way ahead of many students in her recognization of letters and knowing their sounds and when she draws a picture she can use her letter sounds to spell out what is happing. She drew a photo of herself in a fancy blue dress and under it she wrote: "IAMMMMNNLAA". I am Cinderella. Her teacher is really impressed with how she has a good grasp of her letters and is going to start her and a few others in an advanced "learn to read" group. Yippee...all that pre-school is paying off!
Of course she is not perfect so she needs to work on her emotions...duh! and remembering to keep her chair pushed in and her backpack tidy (zipped up and on the back of her chair). It is good to know she is the same kid at school as she is at home!
She is good at knowing what the routine is and doing things in order as she arrives at school. Like mother like daughter. She has always done well with routines.
Overall, I am so pleased that she is doing so well! I just can't stop beaming with pride!

Glad your gal is doing so well!
