I have wanted to do some photo blogging but alas my computer is winning the fight...so here is a brief update on our family.
On May 10th my baby girl, Deonna turned SEVEN.
Then on May 11th after a brief nap the night before we awoke our whole little family of 6 at 4:45am to leave for the airport so we could fly to WASHINGTON D.C.!!! What a trip!!! We visited with Aunt Heidi, Grandma Kestner, Aunt Kitti, Uncle Garry & my Cousin Karen. It was fantastic!
Not to mention the sight seeing. We got to go to the Air & Space Museum on the mall and meet up with Robel's orphanage brother, Yonas. It was fantastic. We saw the National Capital, went to the top of the Washington Monument, saw the White House, walked through the World War II Memorial, paddle boated in the Tidal Basin in front of the Jefferson Memorial, walked to the Lincoln Memorial, visited Arlington Cemetary where my boys got to witness the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We traveled by bus into town for a how $3.40 each way total. We drove to Mt. Vernon and were reminded of our Nations humble beginnings. We thank God that we live in the U.S.A.
We watched Daniel walked across the commencement stage and receive his Masters in Software Development Management! Yea! Honey, we did it!!!
Then we partied at Aunt Heidi's house with her colleagues and friends! It was fun to meet Audrey, Ashley, Liz, Chris & their girls. Then we helped Karen celebrate her 25th Birthday as Uncle Garry grilled. Then the kids got to hot tub in Aunt Kitti's tub..."this is the life" we heard!
Then we spent our last 3 days at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware!!! A little slice of heaven there at Aunt Heidi & Uncle Tim's beach house! Thank you, Uncle Tim for the A-m-a-z-i-n-g meals that sustained our family!
We arrived home on Saturday May 21st at 11PM (2am EST) in time for Daniel to be Bishop on Sunday. On Monday May 23rd my youngest daughter, Angelia turned 6! Yikes.
Memorial Day weekend was spent with friends and family! It was fabulous...I even got a night away with my B.F.F. at Lincoln City. It was gorgeous. At some point I will add photos...it may be after our tax return is deposited so we can buy a new, super, computer!
Here's to an equally amazing June.
