So, even though we have no idea what Robel is saying in Amharic when we still have asked him to pray...we wanted him to know that our family takes turns praying.
A few nights ago he said "Dad, I will pray". He then said in clear English "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for Mom & Dad, thank you for our food. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
Perfect!!!
We are so proud of him and how much he has learned in 7 weeks. What a smart little boy.
He is such a beautiful addition to our family.
This week will be a fun one. Robel starts 2nd grade on Wednesday and Deonna starts Kindergarten on Friday. They can hardly wait. It is going to be fun, scary, exciting, freedom & joy as well as fear as I send my two young children off to be cared for by others. May God protect them and keep them safe while they are away from me.
Oh...Robel had a soccer jamboree yesterday. He did really well...he even scored the last goal in the last game. He had a good time but it wore him out! It is crazy weird to have such big kids doing things I have perfect memories of doing myself.
