Awe to pee orange!!!

Any one who has ever had a urinary tract infection (UTI) will sympathize with me today! I am sure this will be one of those TMI posts...but I have been chasened by too many of you to not post new blogs more often.

My day started fairly usual. If you count six kiddos running around the playroom/house unsupervised with my neice Makenzy snuggled up to me - as usual. Daniel left the house this morning before 5am to be at a HUGE Boy Scout event that he is incharge of.

Shortly after hitting snooze for the 9th time...yes, 9...my sister, Susie came through my garage to take all seven of our kiddos to her house as I had to work at 8am till noon and as I said Daniel was already gone for the day.

I was soon dressed for work (sweat pants, a sports bra and a t-shirt) my usual Saturday attire... I stopped by a mini-mart and picked up a 44oz Diet Dr Pepper...probably my last!

I had been at work for about a half hour when a sudden, undeniable, painful urge to pee came on and I knew I was in for it! Yes, a UTI was to accompany me today. By 9am I was doubled over in pain...my good friend, Kathi came to my rescue and picked up my preordered prescriptions & a large bottle of cranberry juice and delivered it to me. Awe...relief on the way... NOPE!!!

I spent the next 3 hours flooding my bladder with the whole bottle of juice and two bottles of water...only to get extremely ill. I had the chills, a fever, incredible stomach pain (full of juice & water) and a burning sensation to pee every...let's see...every second! Yikes.

This all after 12 years of taking antibiotic therapy for my chronic problem with UTI's. I have been told by several doctors of late that it probably isn't the best regimen so 30 days ago on my own accord...I stopped taking that little pill called Macrobid that has brought me painfree days for years and years. Forget it...I am reordering NOW! What do doctors know about MY body anyhow. If it's working, it's working.

So as of this post I am finally peeing orange! Those red prescription pills are finally working...it took nearly 5 hours...but finally the pain is starting to subside and the water and juice is passing.

I've only RAN to the bathroom 4 times while writing this post...now to lay down & let my body rest!
