There is nothing like a fresh breeze through your home with the windows open because it is finally cool outside but the sun shining too! I love to do yard work this time of year...clear the garden beds, plant mums, trim foliage that has died off of the iris'. I love to bake and read and chill when the weather starts changing. Bring on the movies and popcorn and sweats! I get more ambitious about art projects with my kids and I love decorating my home with leaves and pumpkins and cornucopias & other goodies. Perhaps its the thrill of harvest, of canning, of being self sufficient, I don't know but I love it! I also love eating fresh potatoes from the garden. I love the change to the new season. It is interesting to think that the beauties of fall come from things dying...but I like to think of it like the repentance process...out with the old while the new gets nourished and ready to show its glory next spring. Aaaaahhh... Oh, and I love that the cascade range (especially my Mt Hood) gets a new blanket of snow! Mmmm. Mmmm... Mmmmm! Life is good!
