Tink, Scary Spider, Nice Witch & Red Power Ranger
Robel didn't exactly want to dress up but once we borrowed Jayden's costume he was all game even wanted his hair & face painted RED!
Michael made this scary face all night...he would then try to startle everyone.
"I'm Tinkerbell" she said all night!
Friday night we "trick or treated" around Daniel's office. Then we circled our neighborhood on Halloween. The kids were so excited & cute and got way too much candy.
After eating as much as they could for 3 days we sold the remaining 6 pounds of candy to a local dentist who paid us $1 a lb and then is sending it overseas to our troups. I wanted them to keep the $6 for shipping but apparently it is a national program and so they insisted I take it. Robel (the only child to come with me) then got to "trick or treat" around the dentist office for a toothbrush, 1 minute hourglass, bubblegum flavored floss, a coupon to Red Robin, he made a picture for the troups and got a flag pin & a camo keyholder for around his neck. He now has a house key (like J).
The office was very good to us and sent home 3 other bags of goodies for the kids at home. I had no idea it was more than just dropping off the candy and running.
Good times. Funny thing...no one has even asked about the candy...they were happy for the treats and the $$!

wonderful costumes. great story about the halloween candy and the dentist!
ReplyDeleteI love their costumes. The comments on what they said to people at the door is great it gives their costumes so much more character. Glad your kids are healthy again!!
ReplyDeleteJ didn't want to put on his costume either, until he saw the other kids with theirs on. When we bought it he thought it was pajamas so he was horrified at the thought of going out in it.
ReplyDeleteHow on Earth did you even get an excess of six pounds of candy?? Your kids must have walked faster than mine. I kept saying, "Hurry up!" Cute kids you have. :)
