***Had to make a couple corrections... Sorry Jon & Abi...glad we begged you to come or you'd really feel left out!!!
Just after Halloween my girls came down with fevers, body aches and their tummy's hurt. Yes, I think we got a touch of the swine flu. After one day on and one day off...five days later they were doing great. I felt a bit relieved that no one else came down with it...until Saturday night at a church Road Show my throat started hurting. I shrugged it off from screaming for my Robie at his soccer game that day. A few hours later I felt like a vice was being tightened on my chest. This became the story of my life along with a horrible nagging cough & body aches for the next week and a half. Yikes. I was miserable and spent most of my time in bed. Daniel worked from home, took days off and otherwise took good care of me and the kids. Robel also got a bit sick...his lasted only days...thanks to youth, I'm sure.
So, I have been better for a week now and am just getting back into my usual routines.
Oh, our house is off the market and we are staying in our current, lovely home. We are thrilled. Next fall we'll be remodeling our kitchen with help from IKEA. Almost everyday I come up with a new layout, setup, etc with the help of their downloadable kitchen planner. FUN!!!
Today my sister-in-law, Rhonda is MOVING here to Vancouver!!! She gets here around 3pm! I am thrilled! She is such a good person (she is a Grove). She and her two young kiddos (her daughter is 2 1/2 weeks older than Deonna and her son is 5 weeks younger than Michael) will be living in the same apartments as my sister, Susie and her family. It will be so nice for Deonna to have her GIRL cousin so close!!! Yay!
On Thursday we are hosting Thanksgiving. Hope our 29.23 pound turkey will be enough for Daniel's brother Jonathan his wife Abi and their 2 kiddos, Daniel's parents, Rhonda and her to kids, our family and the missionaries. I know it will be...that was a joke! Usually the .22 cent turkeys's (after spending $50) are the little guys 16-18#. Not this year...WINCO was generous. Looking forward to left overs...mmmm...turkey sandwiches!
Happy Thanksgiving. I will try to post more regularly again. :0)
