December

Before I can dare post Christmas photos and joys...I must give the rest of the month it's dues.

First, my oldest two children both performed in their first piano recital. They were so excited and worked so diligently to master their piece by memory. Deonna and Bryten even played "recital" for hours the day of. Reminding us to sit quietly and wait to leave until one of them was done. They practiced their curtsies and bows...it was so very cute and fun and made my mom smile for days!
Robel did a great job of playing "Good King Wencelas" he of course did not know any American Christmas songs so he didn't mind it. He has only been taking lessons for a few months and he did great.

Deonna has taken piano for slightly longer starting last year as Grandma Kestner felt that she needed something just for her with a big brother on the way! She got to play a bit from "Waltz of the Flowers" from the Nutcracker. She did really well and still plays it about a dozen times every day. I feel like George Bailey sometimes when he yelled "how many times do you have to play that ridiculous song..." I don't because I actually love it very much.

  1. You are so lucky to live where your mom can teach them. I really want to get Cameron playing. Think she'd commute?
