Our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints puts on a Festival of Nativites the first week of December each year. In addition to tempting little children with hundreds of breakable nativies they also have "Joseph's workshop" where the kids played with wooden blocks, colored and made paper donkey's and a "Bethlehem room" where they played dressup and with "kid-friendly" nativities as well as were read stories about he blessed birth of our Lord and Savior. It was so much fun and enjoyable for everyone.
