Happy Anniversary Robel

One year ago today we landed on American soil with my newest and oldest son, Robel!  I have tears in my eyes as I remember those first few days.  My little boy was a trouper!  He was alone in a brand new world full of strangers.  He did not understand what we were saying and certainly we did not understand him.  He smiled through it and we are here a year later with a little boy who not only speaks fluently but can read and write simple English too.  He has been an amazing addition to our family.  He is a great helper and always willing to serve.

I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for directing me to my son!!!  The world and our family is a better place because of his presence in it!

Thank you Robel for loving us unconditionally, giving us a chance & surviving as you have.  You are loved and cared for more than you can imagine.  You help me to be a better person.  I am proud and honored to be your Mom!

I am sad that Aunt Heidi & Grandma Kestner did not make it into this photo!
Thank you to our fabulous "East Coast Family" that hosted us and visited with us during our less than 24 hour stay in DC.  It was fabulous to see you, show off our son, visit with you and get some much needed sleep.  Remember how Robel went into Grandma's front room and fell asleep!  He was tuckered.

So, Aunt Heidi & Robel had a fun photo shoot in the front room...

Boy, Aunt Heidi you remind me of my dad in this photo!

Robel loved Grandma's polar bear puzzle!

Thanks for the memories and fun to all!  What a great first year this has been!
