My Baby Boy is FIVE YEARS OLD!!!

Five years ago today we left Southwest Medical Center with a new baby!  A boy!  My husband had a perma-grin!  We had that new parent feeling and were excited to have our daughters meet their new brother.  Our daughters were still "foster" children...though we never felt that they were temporary...however, we worried at times as things came up.  So, Michael was our first official child that would bear the last name of Grove.  The day we brought Michael home, Angelia was only 8 months and 1 week old & was not prepared to be a big sister!  And our sweet Deonna was only 20 months old and now had two younger siblings.  Yikes.  We had no idea what we were getting into!  Nor was it necessarily "our" idea!  :0)  But if you pray for triplets to come home to you from Sierra Leone for over a year and then they are deemed unadoptable...Heavenly Father does not disregard your fervent request for triplets!  The first few years were tough and I now thoroughly love have four "officially mine" children who bring me more joy than I could imagine!!!  God is Good!!!

Michael has been asking for a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party since he was 2.  I just couldn't do it for a "baby" but now I have a big boy.  So, what can $230 buy you these days?

A party at Chuck E. Cheese with 42 of your closest cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, birth family, eternal family & a few close friends who are like family.
1 cake from Costco
3 balloon weights
6 helium ballons
8 pizzas
19 drinks + a special take home cup for Michael
590 tokens
+ 3 more future parties at Chuck E Cheese!

Memories to last a life time, priceless!!!

My Michael has brought me joy, excitement, laughter, surprises, Thomas the Train, hugs, loves, an additional reason to adopt one more boy, the color blue, loud laughter, loud speaking, enjoyment, a great shopping companion, happiness beyond description.

Happy Birthday my dearest Michael.  May God continue to bless you as you grow.

  1. I thought for sure that your grand total would have been closer to $400. Yowza! And I thank you for the experience because my kids had a blast. That place is like crack for kids and hell for grown-ups. You totally deserve that gun we got him!
