When we moved into our home nearly 7 years ago...we knew we would need to replace carpet, vinyl flooring & kitchen counters. Immediately before anything came into the house we had all new flooring put in. That was all we could afford at the time especially with the wait of children and their anticipated expenses. Now my counters aren't just cracked or lifting now they are broken here or there...and they are gross!
Thanks to our government we can take all remaining adoption tax credit this year! I told Daniel I just couldn't go without new counters anymore...I don't feel like they are ever clean and germ free! He agreed and that is where Andy comes in.
So we have hummed and hahhed over many a Corian samples that Andy brought to our house for us to see and then we went into his beautiful show room. This is where we learned we could do granite for a similar price!!! Here we go ladies I am going to have new granite counter tops in "Artic Pearl" an undermount sink & new faucet! Does life get better than this? Now I know yesterday's post was about how material possessions are not important to me....but I spend more than 1/2 of my day in the kitchen. So WOOHOO!!!
Tonight our tax man comes and we will sign our forms and mail them off to the IRS. Tomorrow I can order my counters, sink & faucet. I am STOKED. Perhaps they will be installed while I am in Utah at Holly's. Wouldn't that be great!
