We are permanently together as a family now! Robel was brought from the WACAP house where he has been staying the last 10 months, to join us at the TDS guest house where we have been staying the last few days.
There are 6 other families staying here with us and all of their children were brought over too. 4 older children (including Robel), a 4-year-old, and 3 babies.
It has been so much fun spending lots of time with Robel. He is very sweet and is the first to jump up and help whenever he thinks someone needs something. He is full of energy and seems to have a short attention span, so he is quickly moving from one activity to another. His favorite thing to do is take pictures, so he has made himself the new owner of our camera. He generally does a pretty good job, but there will be hundreds of pictures that we'll delete when we get a chance.
We spent a couple of hours doing paperwork in preparation for our trip to the U.S. Embassy tomorrow for our interview for getting Robel's visa. One of the grandpa's that was here partied with the older kids while we trudged through the paperwork.
We asked the receptionist here to ask Robel if he would like his own bed. He told her “he did not want to sleep alone, wanted to be with us”.
Did I mention Robel is perfect?.....

Last night we snuggled up with our oldest “baby” and settled into sleep. He sleeps like a baby with his head tucked into a corner or crease. This morning we found him one with the headboard and the mattress laying parallel to the headboard. We quickly turned to cuddle with him which did bring him out of the crease that the headboard and bed make. He is so very sweet.
Today we have played and played. Robel is incredibly good at sports...especially soccer and basketball. Robel plays without boundaries...luckily we are staying at a gated property with guards. We will have to quickly teach him boundaries once we are home. I cannot wait for he and Deonna to meet and bond. I really think they will have so much fun playing together. I am really missing my trio at home. I want them to see their new brother and start our life as a family of 6.
The embassy appointment was today and it really stressed Robel out. We aren't sure why but we'll try not to do “official business” for awhile not until he really settles in. We are ready to go as soon as the VISA is issued with his passport on Wednesday morning. We'll be free to go home!
