What I have been up to...

When I decided to go into puppy ownership I understood that there would be messes, things chewed on that shouldn't be, but I had NO IDEA!

Now I am confined to my downstairs, the gated area to make sure that Dusty doesn't undo my puppy proofing.  I tell you...IF YOU THOUGHT/THINK RAISING KIDS IS HARD (and are happy to be out of the baby stages)...THEN DON'T, AND I REPEAT DON'T GET A PUPPY!!!  I know that many of you could not believe that this OCD girl would even desire to have a dog let alone a puppy and I was given much advice that only now do I understand.

My time is NOT my own.  I must stay in what I used to call the "daycare area" when my trio were babies...the kitchen and family room gated off from the rest of the house and now what feels like the rest of the world.

I thought...this isn't so bad, I'll just use our laptop downstairs when I am staying with Dusty...however, he quickly chewed through our $80 cord.  Yikes.  My favorite chore, laundry, is not so great anymore as I have to keep dusty from chewing all of our socks and underwear and heaven forbid anything that drops on the floor.  In April I got the "big dogs" front loaders...they even say commercial on them.  I LOVE, love, love them. I am down to 6 or so loads a week from 14-15 loads a week.  I did learn that if I dump the laundry on the kitchen table and fold it there...it works pretty well.

The kids are nearing the end of school (our first summer with school aged kids).  We are surprising them with a trampoline with net.  Yes, I finally talked Daniel into one.  Daniel & I will set it up on June 15th and they will come home to their "happy summer" gift with a giant tulle bow around it & probably some balloons!  Fun!

I have summer school work books purchased and ready to go as well as a summer fun program for the oldest 3 from 10:30-2:30 each day at a local elementary.

I better go...I have to work tomorrow morning at 5:30am.  Short night.
